BAHACon is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and harassment-free experience for everyone, including speakers, sponsors, volunteers, staff, and attendees.
This Code of Conduct applies to all conference spaces, including:
- Sessions and panels
- Exhibit areas
- Social events (including VIP dinner and after-party)
- Hotel spaces used for conference activities
- Official BAHACon online spaces
Expected Behaviour
All participants are expected to:
- Treat others with respect and dignity
- Communicate professionally and thoughtfully
- Respect personal boundaries
- Follow venue policies, including Smart Serve alcohol regulations
Unacceptable Behaviour
Unacceptable conduct includes, but is not limited to:
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination
- Sexual harassment or unwelcome sexual attention
- Physical intimidation or unwanted physical contact
- Disruptive behaviour during sessions
- Excessive intoxication that impacts others
- Recording or photographing participants without consent where inappropriate
- Retaliation against anyone who reports misconduct
Reporting Concerns
If you experience or witness inappropriate behaviour, please report it immediately to:
- A BAHACon Board Member
- The Registration Desk
- Or by emailing: info@bahacon.com
Reports will be handled promptly and discreetly.
Enforcement
BAHACon reserves the right to:
- Issue warnings
- Remove individuals from sessions or events
- Revoke conference credentials
- Remove individuals from the venue
- Contact venue security or local authorities where appropriate
Removal for violation of this Code may occur without refund.
